Last month, 35 pokes players were surprised and grateful when the people at Dawn made a ladder on their showdown server for 35 Pokes. However, for this month, things somehow got even better, as we won the Natdex OMS vote, thus causing a 35 Pokes ladder to be implemented on the official showdown server. There is ELO, GXE, and it’s much more active than the discord ladder that was used previously. So if you want to play the meta, all you have to do is build a team and hop on!

Spotlight of the week
Pokemon: Amoonguss
Amoonguss is a very interesting Pokemon because on the surface, it has a wide variety of ways it can be run, but when you look, they all boil down to one thing. Leverage the fantastic utility of Regenerator and the comparably fantastic utility of Spore to provide an amazing defensive backbone for its team. But there are very many ways to go about this. You could go physdef for Bisharp, or Leaf Storm to OHKO Sandaconda, or Toxic to be useful after you’ve slept something, or even Nature Power to fish for para and have much more pp in the mirror matchup, and all of these will likely perform just as well. Amoonguss is truly an amazing defensive pokemon, capable of being slapped on just about any team (except HO).
